Astrology encompasses numerous concepts and employs various tools and methodologies to formulate predictions. One of the key components is the Dasa and bukthi system based on the moon and the star it occupies. While major predictions stem from this system, it does not adequately account for Lagna or Ascendant. Hence, there is a need to enhance the completeness and precision of predictive astrology by assigning appropriate significance to the lagna.

Similar to how the moon progresses from the initial star Aswini to the final one Revathi, the Lagna also undergoes continuous movement. This innovative concept originates from Mr. Poduvudai Moorthy, who has dedicated considerable time and effort to researching and refining this idea to align with the demand for a robust predictive framework.

Through his explorations, Mr. Moorthy has determined that the lagna advances at a precise rate of 1 year, 1 month, and 10 days to traverse a single nakshatra pada. It requires 10 years to transit through one zodiac sign, effectively spanning a 120-year lifespan akin to the Vimshottari Dasa system.

Referred to as "ALP" Akshaya Lagna Pathadi, this concept combines the movements of both the moon and lagna, culminating in highly accurate predictions. For instance, for an individual born in September 1964 with a Mithuna Lagna, the ALP – or moving lagna – transitions into Scorpio in 2019. Utilizing this foundation, planetary positions within the natal chart are analyzed alongside current transit positions to forecast present events.
